San Martino


San Martino della Battaglia,
It’s an historical town due to the famous battle for the Italian independence with a 74 m high Tower build to remember the battle fought on 24 June 1859 between the Austrian and Franco-Piedmont armies, it is located just 8 km from Desenzano del Garda and where you can enjoy a wonderful view over Lake Garda and the hills.
At the entrance of the tower the visitor is welcomed by the statues of the protagonists of the unity of Italy, while the frescoes along the ramp follow the episodes of the Risorgimento.
The museum exhibits weapons, memorabilia and documents, as well as items of soldiers' use. In the chapel-ossuary are collected the bones of thousands of fallen soldiers. The park is home to a spectacular historic reenactment of the Battle.


 

Solferino


Solferino,
Only 15 km from Desenzano del Garda, it is known for the tower that overlooks Solferino plan.
The complex is known for a famous battle in 1859 during the Second War of Independence between the Franco-Piedmont and Austrian army, which fought for control of the territory.
The Tower is currently a museum and monument where it is possible to visit and immerse yourself in past times.


 

Sirmione


Sirmione is one of the most famous and unique of the Lake Garda destinations. Its position is indeed very special given its stunning panoramic views and its extraordinary beauty.

Undisputed symbol of the city of Sirmione it’s the Thermal Baths (Terme di Sirmione). The small town is very picturesque with an historical center which opens its eyes to artistic monuments of high value such as the Castello Scaligero and the Grottoes of Catullus, beside of course the Terme di Sirmione.

 


 

Verona


The city of Verona, UNESCO World Heritage since 2000 is known worldwide as the city of
"Romeo and Juliet ' and for its stunning Roman Arena.

It is rich of monuments, alleys and beautiful squares and that can accommodate concerts and events in its Roman Amphitheater that attract millions of visitors every year.


 

Mantova


Its historical center has been nominated in 2008 UNESCO World Heritage for its Streets, its many monuments, the great work of arts and for the magnificent natural scenery. Very popular are its Renaissance buildings, its parks and lakes, over the beauty of the Old Town. The regional cuisine is not to be missed as well. We list just some of the remarkable artistic monuments such as the Church, The Palace of the Podestà , and the Te Palace.
